Jobs & questions
How to create and manage job listings, write interview questions, and configure recording settings.
Creating a job
Click New job from the dashboard. You only need a title to start — you can fill in the description and settings later.
A job is active by default. Active jobs accept applications from the public apply form and appear on your career page. You can toggle a job inactive at any time from its Settings tab — this immediately stops new applications without deleting anything.
On the Free plan you can have 1 active job at a time. Pro gives you unlimited active jobs.
Job tabs explained
- Applicants — People who have submitted an application (name, email, resume). From here you invite them to interview.
- Overview — Your apply link and a summary of activity for this job.
- Pipeline — Candidates who have been invited, shown as a Kanban board by stage.
- Questions — The video interview questions per stage.
- Settings — Job details, recording settings, pipeline stages, email templates, custom fields, and EEO toggle.
- Team — Invite team members to collaborate on this job.
- Analytics — Hiring funnel, time-to-hire, and candidate benchmarking.
Writing interview questions
Questions are organised by stage. The first stage (Screening) is the initial interview. Later stages (Technical, Final) are for candidates who advance further.
Each stage can have up to 5 questions. Tips for good questions:
- Be specific — "Describe a time you led a project under a tight deadline" gets better answers than "Tell us about yourself".
- Keep questions to one topic each — don't ask two things in one question.
- Tell the candidate what you're looking for — "In 90 seconds, walk us through your most recent role."
Recording settings
These are configured per job in the Settings tab:
- Prep time — How many seconds the candidate has to read the question before recording starts. Default: 30 seconds.
- Max answer length — Maximum recording time per answer. Default: 60 seconds. You can set up to 180 seconds.
- Re-takes — How many times the candidate can re-record each answer. Default: 1 re-take. Set to 0 for no re-takes (first take only).
Pipeline stages
By default, every job has three stages: Screening → Technical → Final. You can rename them, add new ones, remove them, or set a deadline (in days) for each one.
Stages are edited in the Settings tab → Pipeline stages section. Changes apply immediately — candidates already in a stage stay where they are.
Custom application fields
You can add extra fields to your job's apply form — for example, "Portfolio URL", "Years of experience", or "Cover letter". These appear below the standard name/email/resume fields.
Go to Settings → Custom fields to add fields. Each field has a label, a type (text, number, URL, or long text), and an optional/required setting.
Candidates' answers to custom fields are stored with their application and visible when you review them.
Deactivating or deleting a job
- Deactivate — Toggle the job inactive in Settings. The apply link stops working; all existing data is kept.
- Delete — Not available from the UI to prevent accidental data loss. Contact support if you need a job fully removed.
