Job boards & distribution
Get your jobs onto Indeed, Google for Jobs, and other boards — or into your own job board or ATS.
Configured in Settings → Integrations, under the Job Boards group. There are two separate things here: your own job feed (works for every board, self-serve), and 12 individual organic board cards with board-specific guidance, since each one actually works differently.
Prerequisite: your job feed URL is built from your career page slug. Set that first in Settings → Preferences — see Career page & apply form — or the feed URL won't be available yet.
Your job feed
Every account gets a standard XML job feed at a URL shown in Settings — the same format Indeed's classic feed spec popularized, which most other organic boards also accept. It updates automatically whenever you post, edit, or close a job; there's nothing to regenerate. Only active, external jobs appear in it — internal jobs never do (see Employees).
Location and employment type (set per job in its Settings tab) are included in the feed when you've filled them in — worth setting both if you want listings to look complete on the boards that crawl it.
Custom Job Board / ATS
If you run your own job board or ATS that can pull from a feed URL, or accept webhooks, this is the card for it — separate from the 12 public boards below since it's your own system, not a third party.
- Feed — give your system the feed URL above.
- Webhook — set a URL in this card and FocalVAHire sends a
job.publishedPOST request the moment a job goes live (transitions to active + external), with the job's title, description, location, employment type, and apply URL.
Google for Jobs
Fully automatic — nothing to do. Your career page already includes the structured data Google's crawler looks for. As long as your career page slug is set, your jobs are eligible to appear on Google for Jobs with no submission step.
Talent.com
Genuinely self-serve. Submit your feed URL directly in their employer portal — no approval process.
Glassdoor
Nothing separate to set up. Glassdoor is owned by Indeed and syncs jobs from Indeed automatically — whatever you arrange with Indeed covers Glassdoor too.
Indeed, LinkedIn, Monster, CV-Library
These four have real, documented APIs that go beyond a feed — including applications flowing back to you automatically — but none of them are self-serve. Each requires the platform to be an approved partner first, which is a business-level step (an application and review process with that company), not something switched on from a settings screen. Until that's in place:
- Indeed — the feed above may still get picked up, but Indeed limits free organic visibility for feeds not delivered through an approved partner. Their partner documentation is at docs.indeed.com if you want to pursue it.
- LinkedIn — no reliable feed path; free organic jobs are posted manually at linkedin.com/jobs.
- Monster — the feed can work, but needs a Monster representative to connect it on their end, not a self-serve form.
- CV-Library — email their partner team directly to request access; UK-focused.
Each of these shows the exact same explanation, plus a link to their site, right in its own Settings card.
Brenxor, Jobted, MyJobHelper, AviationCV, Sleekjob
Smaller boards with no public feed or API documentation found. Their cards suggest trying your feed URL directly with them, or checking for a manual employer posting form — this is genuinely uncertain territory, not something FocalVAHire can guarantee works.
Turning a board off
If a card you expect to see is missing, it may have been switched off platform-wide by whoever runs your FocalVAHire instance — a way to hide boards that aren't ready to promote yet. That's an account-level setting, not something wrong with your job or your plan.
Beyond feeds: the Developer API
On Enterprise, you can also push jobs programmatically from your own systems using the REST API, instead of relying on a passive feed. See Developer API.
