Employees

A separate, more limited kind of account for your own staff — access to internal job postings only.

How this is different from Team collaboration

Team members (see Team collaboration) are people who help you hire — they review candidates on jobs or departments they're granted access to. Employees is a separate flag (isEmployee) that instead gives someone access to your internal-only job postings — roles you've marked visible to your own staff only, not the public.

The two are independent. Someone can be a recruiter and an employee, just an employee, or just a recruiter. Employee access isn't scoped to specific jobs or departments the way team access is — an employee can see and apply to every internal job across your account.

Adding an employee

  1. Go to Employees in the main navigation.
  2. Enter their email under Invite an employee and send the invite.
  3. They receive an email with a link to set a password.
  4. Once accepted, their status changes from Pending to Active — until then, they can't log in.

You can also mark an existing team member as an employee from Administration → Users, without sending a separate invite.

What an employee-only account sees

Someone who is only an employee (not also a recruiter or hiring manager) gets a deliberately narrow view when they log in: their own profile, and your list of internal jobs to apply to. They don't see Activities, the general candidate pipeline, or anything else — that's by design, since a pure employee account isn't meant for reviewing candidates.

Someone who is both an employee and a recruiter/hiring manager gets the full team-portal experience plus the internal jobs list — nothing is hidden from them.

The employee's profile

An employee's detail page (click into them from the Employees list) has the same depth as a candidate's: contact info, education, current role, location, skills, salary expectations, and more. They can fill this in themselves from their own portal, or you can edit it directly from their detail page.

Resume: the employee can upload or replace their own from their profile in the team portal, and you can do the same from their detail page in the admin app — either one overwrites the same file, so there's never a stale duplicate.

Suspending or removing

From Administration → Users, you can suspend an employee — blocks login immediately, keeps everything on file — or fully remove them, which revokes access and can't be undone. The employee's own detail page (under the Employees list) shows their status but doesn't have these controls — manage that from Administration.
